The 2017 Species on the Edge Art and Essay contest drew in more than 2,500 entries from students throughout New Jersey. This contest is designed to empower 5^th grade students through the arts by writing a creative essay and drawing an original art piece of a threatened or endangered New Jersey species.

All the winning artwork from the 2017 Species on the Edge Art and Essay contest is on display at D&R Greenway Land Trust at the Johnson Education Center through October 18, 2017. CWF is thankful to D&R Greenway for hosting the winning artwork each year at the Olivia Rainbow Gallery. Named by Leslie and Chris Kuenne of Princeton in memory of their daughter Olivia, a burgeoning artist who loved the outdoors, the gallery exhibits works of children and students from pre-school through high school ages.
