Blue-spotted Salamander

Hi, I'm a blue-spotted salamander. Scientists call me Ambystoma laterale. My home is under a rock right next to a pond in northern New Jersey. I eat anything that will fit in my mouth. My sister is an eastern tiger salamander. The pond that I live next to provides me with food, water, shelter, and protection. It is a good place to lay eggs. But that pond is getting smaller and smaller each year. The reason why we are endangered is global warming and litter. These two factors are making not just my pond but millions around the world disappear. It is only a matter of years before us and many other animals disappear. My eggs provide food for other animals. Without me many animals would not be where they are today. So please save our species.
