Grrrrrrr, I am a pale brown ferocious bobcat with faint reddish bars and spots on my body. I am 76 to about 124 cm or 30 to 50 inches in length. I am also 21 inches high or 53 cm. I can be from 5.8 to 13.3 kg or be 13 to 30 pounds.

My den and I are from southern Canada, the whole USA, and Mexico. My habitats are all areas from semi-desert to mountain woodlands.

When one of our females gives birth it is a live birth. It took 50 to 70 days for gestation. Our babies are born in a hollow log but they can also be born under a rock or in a dense thicket. They don’t open their eyes for nine straight days.

We are carnivores; we like to eat rodents, and other small mammals, birds, frogs, reptiles, domestic poultry, mice, rabbits, hares, and especially deer. We also like to eat carrion, insects, and eggs.

We are in the family of Felide, species of Rufus, and genus: lynx. We are threatened because of loss of habitat and persecution by farmers and ranchers. There are only 725,000 left of us and we are endangered and threatened. You can help us by not trapping us in bear traps and please don’t hurt us in any way.
