Long-eared Owls

BOOM! OH MY GOD, HURRY UP AND RUN, THEY ARE GOING TO MAKE A DREAM CATCHER OUT OF YOU, RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh, hey, sorry about all that it's hunting season, wow come to think of it, you probably think your dreaming cause you 're talking to a long-eared owl! My name is Toby. Let me tell you a few things about myself. I am about the size of a crow, have long eared tuffs · on my head to help hide me. My chest is marked black, brown, and grey, with beige and white tones. I have orange and yellow spots on my face.

Before I go on, here are some fun facts: Did you know the main mating call of a male is a low "hoo hoo hoo" that is repeated 10 to 200 times. The female responds with a raspy buzz call and often duets with the male. My family and I eat small mammals. We eat voles, mice, shrews, and rats; sometimes we eat song-birds. We try not to eat them because mama said there bad for us! The one thing we love is… SNAKES! Here is one more fun fact: long-eared owls don't make their own nests they go in old hawk and squirrel nests!

The main reason I'm here is that we're endangered! I'll tell you why, farmers and people who build houses are ruining long eared owls' habitats. Farmers cut down trees to make their farms bigger. The people who build houses are even worse! They take out millions of trees! You mean people who do that better watch where you're going, one day we will get revenge! YOU WALKING DWELLERS SHOULD CHECK WHEN YOU CUT, CAUSE ANIMALS (long-eared owls) CAN BE IN THERE AND YOU MAY EITHER HURT THEM OR YOU CAN KILL THEM, LEAVING THEM NO HABITAT! Take fewer trees as possible! And still check before you cut down trees. Don't cut them down if they are not needed! Animals need all the things in trees to survive!

Thank you, for understanding. Well got to take my flying lessons, I hope I can see you soon, probably not, remember that long-eared owls are rare to see inNew Jersey! Excuse me...BOOM!! EVERY BODY RUN!!!!!
