Join us and other environmental organizations at the Cumberland County Winter Eagle festival. Bald eagles are just some of the spectacular birds of prey to come out and observe as part of a day full of activities, walks, exhibits, speakers, book signings, vendors and tasty Down Jersey food.

Birding enthusiasts young and old will not be disappointed as experts and volunteers from New Jersey Audubon/Cape May Bird Observatory and Citizens United to Protect the Maurice River will be on hand with spotting scopes and a wealth of information to help identify wildlife and guide tours at various viewing sites.

Admission – $10.00 Adults / $5.00 Children 12 & under.

Free Transportation to and from the event is available for in-county seniors and disabled via the Cumberland Area Transit System. Please call (856) 691-7799 to arrange transport.

From bobcats and bears to porcupines, bats, and bottlenose dolphins, New Jersey's mammals symbolize the wild spirit of nature in the Garden State. Conserve Wildlife Foundation executive director and nature author David Wheeler will lead you on an engaging journey introducing many of the diverse wildlife species that call New Jersey home - including many creatures that can be found right here in Mercer County! “Eyes on Eagles” programming to is back for a second year to celebrate the four pairs of bald eagles that nest in Mercer County, including two pairs that have chosen County parks for nest sites.

Join naturalists and guides for a hike to look for eagles through a spotting scope and binoculars. “Eyes on Eagles” bald eagle viewings will be held on the second Sunday and fourth Friday of the month, from 1 to 3 p.m., through May 10, 2020.

Please wear sturdy shoes, bring a bottle of water and binoculars if you have them. Meet at the West Picnic Area in Mercer County Park.
