Volunteers unite! Barnegat Bay Blitz is almost here! Join us Wednesday June 7 in clean ups all over the Barnegat Bay Watershed. On Blitz day, thousands of volunteers will work to clear litter, storm debris, and illegal dumpsites from the waterways and land of the entire 660 square mile watershed!

Conserve Wildlife Foundation of NJ has been involved in the conservation of northern diamondback terrapins since 2010. At the Upper Branch Cape May County Library, Habitat Program Manager Ben Wurst will discuss the life history of terrapins and provide background on the project based in S. Ocean County that was created to reduce abnormally high road kills inside Great Bay Blvd Wildlife Management Area.

This summer, CWF is offering a Sedge Island Ecotour for Girl Scouts. Scouts will spend their day at Sedge Island, Island Beach State Park immersed in the salt marshes of Barnegat Bay. Scouts will explore the ecosystems by kayak, live a conservation lifestyle, and learn first-hand about biological research. They will leave with a better understanding of the personal choices they face in order to make a positive impact upon their environment.
Sedge Island Ecotour activies will include a kayak tour through the marshes, clamming, seining, and of course, learning about the fascinating history of Sedge Island and all of its wildlife inhabitants!
$50 Per Scout!
