New Jersey's magnificent raptors - including bald eagles, peregrine falcons, and ospreys - have made an inspiring recovery over the past few decades, thanks largely to the work of devoted biologists and faithful volunteers from Conserve Wildlife Foundation and the State Endangered & Nongame Species Program. Come and learn more about these incredible species, and the innovative work being done to study and protect them in the Garden State.

David Wheeler is the Executive Director of the nonprofit Conserve Wildlife Foundation (CWF). Mr. Wheeler has worked on wildlife conservation and environmental issues in New Jersey and beyond for more than a decade. He is the author of the 2011 book Wild New Jersey: Nature Adventures in the Garden State, and a contributor to the 2014 book, Bald Eagles in the Meadowlands and Beyond.
