Rare Wildlife Revealed at D&R Greenway Land Trust
September 12 - October 16, 2016

Rare Wildlife Revealed: The James Fiorentino Traveling Art Exhibition began its three-year journey at D&R Greenway Land Trust on September 12, 2016.
“The subject of disappearing New Jersey wildlife speaks directly to the work that we do to protect habitats,” said D&R Greenway President & CEO Linda Mead. “As an admirer of James Fiorentino’s artistic talent, I am thrilled that we were selected as the premiere venue for this exhibition.”
Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey has been a long-time partner with D&R Greenway, exhibiting our Species on the Edge fifth-grade art and essay contest winners annually in D&R Greenway’s Olivia Rainbow Gallery. The 2016 Species on the Edge winners' artwork were displayed simultaneously with the Fiorentino exhibit.

On September 30, 2016, Conserve Wildlife Foundation and D&R Greenway hosted the premiere opening reception to kickoff the traveling art exhibition. The event was a huge success with over 300 supporters in attendance. Former New Jersey Governor Tom Kean was a special guest, along with nationally renowned artist James Fiorentino, Conserve Wildlife Foundation field biologists who work to protect the wildlife featured in the show, 2016 Species on the Edge contest winners, and a live peregrine falcon from Mercer County Wildlife Center.
"His art helps to educate and engage viewers about the precipitous declines that many of these (featured) species have suffered and helps us bring attention to the very tangible steps that people can take to save and strengthen these wildlife population,” said Conserve Wildlife Foundation Executive Director David Wheeler.
Rare Wildlife Revealed: The James Fiorentino Traveling Art Exhibition stayed at D&R Greenway Land Trust until October 16, 2016. From there the artwork traveled to Studio 7 Fine Art Gallery in Bernardsville, New Jersey.
