Silver-bordered Fritillary

I am Boloria; it is short for my scientific name, Boloria selene. In other words, it means silver-bordered fritillary. Yes, I know I am a butterfly. As you can see, I have two wings, no fingers, and I am only two inches tall. You humans are at least 1,000 times my size! That's why I am speaking to you today.

You can help me, and my friends and family. I know you have a lot to do already with your friends, family, homework, and Facebook, but I can't do this by myself! Only you can help me. My problem is I am losing my family; my species is in danger! We are in danger because our habitat isn't around as much as it used to be. My habitat is just a marsh, but you humans can live almost anywhere. But since I only live in wetlands, there is nowhere else for me to live. If destruction and pollution of my habitat continues, the result could be fatal!

But you can help me by finding and preserving my habitat. If you do this simple task, you will top the tears of us butterflies. We will then be able to enjoy our homes and never become extinct. That is all I ask of you. Now will you please excuse me, it is dinner time, and I must drink my pollen.
