Rare Wildlife Revealed: The James Fiorentino Traveling Art Exhibition continues to make headway on its journey throughout New Jersey and surrounding states. The sixth stop landed the exhibition at the Hiram Blauvelt Art Museum, one of the nation's only wildlife art museums, during the period of April 17- July 31, 2017.

“We hope this exhibit will not only inspire but educate everyone who comes through our doors,” says Hiram Blauvelt Art Museum President James Bellis Jr. “You will see our very own Jersey artist pay tribute to some of New Jersey’s vulnerable wildlife species."

The Blauvelt-Demarest Foundation established the museum in 1957 through the contribution of his private wildlife art and big game collections. The well-received three-year exhibition fittingly builds on the legacy of the late Hiram Blauvelt, philanthropist, conservationist and collector.

On May 19, 2017, the esteemed Hiram Blauvelt Museum highlighted Rare Wildlife Revealed with a free reception for an audience of all ages. There were over 100 guests, including speakers Former Governor Kean, Hiram Blauvelt Board President James Bellis, CWF Executive Director David Wheeler and of course, artist James Fiorentino. Guests enjoyed delicious hors d'oeuvres, wine and Flying Fish beer. A harpist gave the evening an elegant touch.

According to the museum’s website, “Hiram hoped to educate the coming generations to the diversity and beauty of the wildlife kingdom. He especially wanted to enlighten the public to the challenges we face to preserve the marvels of wildlife and their natural environments.”
