The magnificent bald eagle has made an inspiring, all-American recovery. Just a few decades ago, there was only a single nesting pair of bald eagles in all of New Jersey - yet now there are four nesting pairs in Mercer County alone, and over 200 statewide!
Join CWF Executive Director David Wheeler to learn more about this incredible species, and the innovative work being done to study and protect them in the Garden State.
David has worked on wildlife conservation and environmental issues in New Jersey and beyond for more than a decade. He is the author of the 2011 book Wild New Jersey: Nature Adventures in the Garden State, and a contributor to the 2014 book, Bald Eagles in the Meadowlands and Beyond. Mr. Wheeler earned his M.B.A. from New York University's Stern School of Business and his B.A. from American University in Washington DC, and is a 2017 Lead New Jersey fellow.
This program, funded by PSE&G and administered by Wildlife Center Friends as part of the bald eagle program, is part of the cooperative effort between the Mercer County Park Commission, Wildlife Center Friends, and Conserve Wildlife Foundation.
